For the past 17 years, USAPA has continued to advance its mission in advancing the health and welfare of companion animals, community public health and one health.
This has been achieved through undertaking the following activities:
The Uganda small animal practitioner’s association(USAPA) was started in 2006 by small animal practitioners and was registered as an association in 2007
Currently the association is made up of small animal practitioners, veterinary students, researchers and pharmaceutical companies.
The association is also a member of the African Small Companion Animal Network (AFSCAN) and the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA)
OUR AIM: To improve small companion animal HEALTH and public health and advance THE small animal veterinary profession.
USAPA VISION: Health for Small Companion Animals and A Healthy COMMUNITY.
OUR MISSION: To advance the health and welfare of companion animals in Uganda through a continuously educated, collaborative and committed veterinary community as well as act as a platform for collaboration with other veterinary practice advancing organisations globally.

USAPA is an association of veterinarians, companies and organisations especially those leaning towards advancing Companion Animal practice, health and welfare. Together, we are working to advance the health and welfare of Companion Animals, thus impact on the health of the communities they live and impact on a healthier environment for both People and Animals. We speak on behalf of Companion Animals Veterinarians in Uganda and collaborate with other organisations locally, regionally and globally in advancing our mission and vision.
